Zoology / Ecology Technician
The Department of Life Sciences is seeking to recruit a full-time zoology/ecology technician. The person appointed will provide technical support to staff and undergraduate/postgraduate students for teaching, research and enterprise. S/he will join a team of technical staff which includes specialist bioscience technicians.
To apply for the position you should have a good working knowledge of laboratories and fieldwork, qualifications and experience in a relevant science subject area and awareness of health and safety issues and practices in the laboratory and field. You will also have excellent organisational skills and an ability to communicate and work effectively with colleagues and students.
This post will require flexible working between 08.00 and 18.00hrs on occasions and attendance on residential fieldwork.
