Rock Collection Administrator
The Department of Earth Science and Engineering is looking to recruit a Rock Collection Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity for those looking to pursue a career in higher education at a top ranking university. The post provides the opportunity to support the Department’s provision of a first class customer service experience.
The post-holder will be responsible for the administration and curation of the department’s rock collection and associated materials to support the teaching programme and will be responsible for co-ordinating the planning and logistics of undergraduate fieldwork courses.
The Rock Collection Administrator will report to the Academic Tutor and the hours of work will be 08.30 to 16.30.
You should have considerable knowledge of geology and have the excellent administration and organisational skills vital for this post, as well as flexibility and thoroughness. Previous experience in higher education is desirable but not essential.
