Curator (Natural History)
A vacancy has arisen for this key post in the curatorial team within Stoke Museums' service due to the retirement of the current post holder. The curator will care for the large and well-documented natural history collections, and continue developing partnerships with national, regional and local organisations.
The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery is seeking a Curator (Natural History) to join the curatorial team. This post will assist in the provision of an effective collections development service and facilitate public access to the Museum's collections by maintaining the care, storage, documentation and conservation of the nationally significant and regionally important Natural History Collections and by preparing displays and exhibitions, in line with Museum Accreditation scheme standards. The post will contribute to fundraising targets. The applicant should provide evidence of relevant Degree, plus AMA or working towards AMA and/or at least three years appropriate postgraduate experience in a museum/gallery or similar environment
