Fossil Preparator

As Fossil Preparator, you will manage the preparation facilities within the Conservation Centre, Core Research Labs Department. You will undertake mechanical and chemical preparation of specimens from existing and newly acquired material. You will work closely with the conservation team as well as researchers and curators from the Earth Science Department. You be responsible for ensuring the preparation facilities are maintained to a high standard and that all safety protocols are recorded and kept up to date

In addition to carrying out fossil preparation, you will contribute to the general management of the conservation facility and provide occasional assistance for the Conservation Team; activities will include the installation of specimen’s for both local and touring exhibitions.
